Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Between my dad and the snow in Denver my break was very hectic and i am glad to be back to Atlanta so that I can get a little rest over the new year.

Thank you all for your prayers for my dad. His surgery went well and he is slowly recovering. We have not heard yet whether his tumor was malignant or not so that is what is currently on my mind but so far so good.

Again I hope you all had a relaxing and blessed Christmas and will have a happy new year.

Please Pray for My Dad

So I know that I have not updated in a while, but I have an urgent prayer request that I felt like I should bring to the community.

This weekend I learned that my dad has a tumor on his spinal cord in his spine.  He is going to Denver today for an emergency rather risky surgery to try and remove the tumor.  Janet and I are flying in to be with him and my mom tomorrow.  The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday at 2 pm mt).

Please pray for my dad, that the surgery would go well and that there would be a full recovery.

Please pray for the doctor performing the surgery that he would be exact in removing the tumor.

Thanks so much and I greatly appreciate all prayers on my dad’s behalf.

Lions and Tigers and Southern Baptists oh my

I have a little life update for everyone.  First the person that everyone really cares about.

Janet found a job which is great and an answer to prayer.  She works about 25 to 30 hours a week for a fund raising group in Buckhead (which is north ATL).  She is doing great and starting to make friends at work.  In her off time she really likes to shop at the local market and come up with new and yummy meals.  We play tennis together about 2 or 3 times a week and even though we both really suck we have a lot of fun.  We go golfing together a lot and have been to a few Braves games.  We have been out to dinner a few times with a couple from my work (Kevin and Jessica) and have had a lot of fun with them.  The other night after we went golfing with them Kevin turned to us and told us that he came from a broken home where his parents did not have a good relationship, and it made him never want to get married until he met us.  His words really touched us.  Praise God.

We are going to become members of the Church of the Apostles.  The head rector is Dr.  Michael Youssef.  He is from Egypt and we both just love his ministry.  I encourage all of you to learn more about him and listen to him if you ever get the chance.  Ravi Zacharias also attends our church and I have been told that he often guest speaks, we look forward to that.  We are in a newcomers Sunday school class which is interesting to say the least.  There is a group people who are joining the church we I can tell grew up in the Southern Baptist Church.  It is amazing how well the SBC indoctrinates there members.  A few of them got so mad at the whole infant baptism thing that I thought that there might be a fist fight.  It was one of those things that was not funny but freakin hilarious at the same time.

Other then that things are going well for me.  Work is tiring but fun at the same time. Hopefully soon I will be bringing in some pretty big commissions.  I have been trying to contact the Cobb County Republican Party to get involved.  In a few years there is going to an opening to run for the state house, hey you never know.  I bought new irons, Titlist 755 ya they are hot.

Well I have to get on a few calls so I had better run, I hope all is well with all of you.

p.s. for those of you that work by a computer and can listen to music go to music.com and then go to the make your own radio section.  Then put in a favorite band and they make a mix of similar music and lyrics for you al day, very clutch.

Oh and GO BRONCOS!
